People May be Dumb, but Fall is Here

This is from a couple years ago... but fall is on its way people.

I met one of those people you only read about on internet "fail  sites". You know the ones... they are so incredibly dumb, it is flabbergasting. In my geography class the other day the professor asked the class to essentially summarize what we had learned in the previous class session and then discuss it with the people around us. Apparently her explanation of the task wasn't as clear as it could have been because one girl asked the people around her what we were supposed to be doing. After we answered her question she responded, "So rocks? What is this class?" Hold up. You don't know what class you are in and yet you know where and when it is supposed to be? After she found out it was a geography class: "So it's about rocks? What is geography? I'm dropping this class anyway?" Seriously?!?! Who doesn't know what geography is? How did she get into this University? How did she pass high school for that matter? I was talking to my brother about it later and realized she must have thought it was a geology class. Similar name, two completely different topics.
On a brighter note... fall is in the air. And that means pumpkins, apples, cider, and everything orange. This wreath tutorial has me excited. While coffee isn't really my favorite, I could maybe go for this pumpkin spice latte

[Insert Something Witty Here]

Here he is folks... the man of my dreams.

In a week, the last English class of my college career will be over. It feels bittersweet somehow. On the one hand, it is pleasant to look forward to a semester essentially full of blow off classes. There is only one that might be challenging. On the other hand, English is my major, and I won't have an excuse to go out and buy ten plus books.
Which reminds me.... I seem to have a problem. Addiction if you will. Books are so much better than these newfangled e-readers. Sadly, I have almost caved. The nook has its good qualities I suppose. Anyway, that's not my problem. I buy so many books. By now, I have over three hundred. We were at a used book tent the other day and they had the classic "Rebecca" for fifty cents. The thing was, I couldn't remember if the book already had a home on my bookshelf. He got it for me anyway. I sort of started a list, but I need to make another one. Maybe on google docs? That way it will be accessible online and I can use his smartphone if we're book shopping together, haha. I had it organized by genre, but maybe author would be better? Or perhaps two lists. One alphabetical by author. The other organized by genre and then by author. We'll see. A good project for the intervening weeks between semesters.
So this may be the most random entry ever... but there is so much to do before Monday. Eek! Work Thursday and Friday night and Saturday morning. I have a photo shoot Saturday afternoon for a creative project due in my class Monday. Right, it sounds glamorous, but it's really not. I have to come up with discussion leading questions for Monday and read two novellas by then. And to top it off, I have to make dessert for about fifteen people for Sunday night. Breathe, you say? I'll try.
See you on the other side.

oh, you know...

So... apparently I decided to go on a nearly year long hiatus from this blog. I suppose I'm just not the blogger type. A lot has happened though. My classes have been going well. Landscape plants, Spanish, literature. It's all great fun. (not.) I haven't been taking as many pictures as I used to. And apparently I'm a bit camera shy. Sorta sad, that.
The big news though, is that I now have a boyfriend. He is pretty awesome. He likes to spoil me; tells me I'm pretty, beautiful all the time. I think I hit the jackpot people. He even gave up his english leather and started wearing old spice for me. My parents also pretty much adore him too.
Still haven't found a job in a library, which means I'm still working in the cafeteria. Moved again, but now I am living on my own for a couple of months until the new roomie moves in. Surprisingly, I have a fully functional kitchen on my own. Absolutely love it.
Well nonexistent readership... it is late, and tomorrow morning I will be traveling. See you in a while. Perhaps?
